Privacy Policy

What the application does

Breathe & Sleep offers breathing exercises, guided relaxation with instructions read aloud (progressive muscle relaxation and body scan), gentle bed yoga, daily tips and a bedtime reminder.

Information stored on your device

Depending on how you use the application, its local storage on your device may contain:

• your chosen language and other app settings;
• your favourite exercises and your practice history (dates and the sessions you finished);
• your reminder settings (whether the reminder is on and at what time).

This information stays in the application’s local storage. It is not sent to AFF Inc. or to any server operated by AFF Inc., and AFF Inc. cannot see it. The application does not pass it to the advertising SDK.

Device backup

If backup is turned on in your Android settings, Android may include the application’s local data in your device backup (for example, Google’s Android backup), so it can be restored on a new device. Device backups are managed by Google and your device under their own settings and policies. You can turn backup off in Android settings.

Reminders and notifications

The bedtime reminder is scheduled on your device. The application asks for permission to show notifications, and it re-schedules reminders after your device restarts. You can turn reminders off in the app (Profile → Reminders) or block notifications in Android settings. No reminder information leaves your device.

Spoken instructions

The application reads exercise instructions aloud using the text-to-speech engine installed on your device (for example, Google’s speech services). The text is handled by that engine under its own settings and policies; the application does not record your voice and does not use the microphone.

Google Mobile Ads

This application uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display banner, interstitial, app-open and native advertisements. Google states that the SDK may automatically collect and share an IP address, user product interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers (such as the advertising ID) for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Google and its partners process that information under their own policies.

Read Google’s Privacy Policy and the Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.

Advertising consent

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the application shows Google’s consent form before personalised advertising is used. Where this applies, you can change your choices at any time from Ad privacy settings in the app’s Profile tab.

Your choices in the United States

In some US states, such as California, data collected by Google’s advertising services may count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information for advertising. You can opt out at any time from Ad privacy settings in the app’s Profile tab. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.

App ratings

The application may show Google Play’s in-app review window. Reviews are handled by Google Play under Google’s policies; AFF Inc. only sees the public review you choose to post.

Information we do not request

Breathe & Sleep: Relax does not require registration and does not request your name, contacts, camera, microphone, location, photos, files or payment information. It does not use Firebase Analytics or any other analytics service. Internet access is used only by Google’s advertising, consent and review services.

Sharing and sale

AFF Inc. does not sell or share the information you enter in the application. It does not leave your device except through your own device backup, as described above.

Health information

The application provides general relaxation and wellness information. It is not a medical device and does not treat sleep disorders. See a doctor about ongoing sleep problems.

Security, retention and deletion

Local data is protected by the Android operating system and remains until you remove it. You can delete it by clearing the application’s storage in Android settings or by uninstalling the application. There is no user account, so there is no account profile to delete. Advertising-related data is subject to Google’s policies and retention practices. No security method can guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

This application is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you have a related concern.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the application, advertising services or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
